Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy
Imagine if you could combine massage, physical therapy and chiropractic care into one technique. While this is a massage modality, your alignment and muscle tone are taken into account to fine tune your body's alignment, which is different from other forms of massage. These techniques involve active involvement on the part of the client, with pressing against resistance or by making small guided movements, to tone weak muscles and stretch tight muscles, creating new muscle memory that will help promote better alignment, posture, and thus longer-lasting pain relief.
What to expect when you come in:
Detailed health history and movement assessment
Myoskeletal alignment treatment on therapy table
These sessions are best performed with loose-fitting shorts or spandex (and sports bra/tank top for women)
Followup assessment and postural exercises
A treatment for those looking to melt into the table and forget about the day. Slow, soft, soothing Swedish-style strokes with the added benefits of hydrating lotions, a far-infrared table warmer, hot towels, and aromatherapy are a great way to destress, calm the mind and feel rejuvenated.
**Note, if you are suffering from a chronic/sudden pain condition, a Myoskeletal alignment therapy treatment will be used**
Developed in 1922 by Mikao Usui, this Japanese method of therapy uses energy, rather than tissue manipulation, to bring a calmness and centering. A fully clothed session where the practitioner will only use placing of the hands on the body to deepen the energy connection. Clients may feel warmth, tingling, or nothing at all, yet the Reiki will always work for each person's greatest good. Learn more at https://iarp.org/what-is-reiki.
What to expect:
